The shamanic festival of the year as a threshold and festival of honor for the ancestors on October 31st

The Celts believed that in the night from October 31st to November 1st the gate to the other world opens or the veils to this are most permeable and that we can therefore energetically benefit from the wisdom of the (holy) ancestors in rituals and work with it. The Feast of the Dead, which we also call All Saints' Day on the following day in the Christian context, heralds a new year in the Celtic calendar. So a New Year's Eve and a new beginning for us people who live according to the cycle of the year. It is the festival of the deceased, the beings from the underworld, the turn of the year and the unborn life. Halloween or in South America "Dia de los Muertos". We can use the time of reflection in the winter half-year soo wonderfully well to review the year, to finally break away from the old self and to celebrate the new beginning. It is also fitting that Samhain takes place during the astrological Scorpio time, as the main principle of Scorpio is "Die and become." A final point in the great cycle of nature, when the leaves fall - but underneath the earth is preparing for a new cycle, new life is fermenting. No other sign of the zodiac carries this Plutonic power of transformation more than Scorpio. No zodiac sign is as closely connected to the world of the deceased as he is. And this sign connects us with loved ones in the afterlife for some time after Samhaim at the new moon in Scorpio. This time is thought provoking to develop spiritually so that just like Mother Nature we can welcome the light of spring with fresh energies and that what we have spent the past year, which has been very difficult and intense for many, can be transformed into something very positive. We can be proud of how strong we were, what we have sown in terms of new relationships and projects. Samhain is a festival, a night to be spent in many different ways - whether throwing a festival to welcome in the new year in the Celts' cycle, holding a service for the departed, inviting your ancestors to a cozy feast, or something else for the coming year is a matter of preference and mood.
